Learn to Swim Policies

Cancellation Policy

At KA Leisure, you pay for 47 lessons per year, divided into 12 equal Direct Debit payments of £29.00. We aim to deliver up to 50 lessons annually, with a two-week break scheduled during the festive period.

  • If more than five lessons are cancelled within a year, a refund will be applied to the following month’s Direct Debit.
  • For Saturday morning classes at The Portal, swim galas will take place throughout the year. We will provide as much notice as possible when these are scheduled.
  • When you receive a text notification regarding a cancelled class, please check the date carefully, as cancellations may be issued in advance.
  • For Early Years and Adult classes, any cancelled lesson will result in your block being extended by one week.
  • No refunds or credits will be issued for missed lessons, including those missed due to sickness, holidays, or other personal circumstances.

If you experience any other circumstances, please contact us at learntoswim@kaleisure.com
and a member of our team will be happy to assist.

Class Eligibility & Incorrect Bookings

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is booked into the correct Learn to Swim class based on age and school status.

Class Eligibility

  • Pre-School: Ages 3–5 years, or until the child starts school (whichever comes first)
  • SS1: Children at school or over 5 years of age
  • SS1 (8+ Years): Children 8 years and over only

If a child is booked into the wrong class due to age or eligibility, KA Leisure will refund the payment made.
KA Leisure is not responsible for transferring or relocating the child into another class. Parents/guardians must rebook into the correct class, subject to availability.
