KA Leisure along with North Ayrshire Council are pleased to provide an update on the reopening of the Auchenharvie swimming pool following the extensive storm damage caused by Storm Éowyn. After the significant structural impact to the pool roof, a full replacement has now been successfully installed. Internal works are nearing completion, marking a major milestone in bringing this valued community facility back into operation.

Over the coming weeks, staff training will be undertaken to ensure teams are fully prepared for reopening. Additional snagging, water quality testing, and final operational checks will also take place to guarantee the highest standards of safety and service. Subject to these final stages progressing as planned, KA Leisure is working towards welcoming members and customers back through the doors on Saturday 28th February.

This reopening follows a series of works not only to the roof but including redecoration, repairs to mechanical and electrical systems, tiling repairs and boiler and pool plant refurbishment to circulation, filtration and dosing components.

To support a smooth transition back to Auchenharvie, KA Leisure will be contacting all Learn to Swim programme participants and local swim clubs in the coming weeks. This will ensure that lesson schedules, club access, and operational arrangements are clearly communicated and seamlessly re‑established. Further details on the full pool programme will also be shared ahead of reopening.

We recognise the patience shown by our members, partners, and the wider community throughout this period of disruption. The wait is nearly over, and we look forward to reopening a refreshed, safe, and fully restored swimming environment for everyone to enjoy once again.
