We’re really excited to share our plans and developments for facilities within the Garnock Valley.
Our teams have been working hard to explore opportunities to enhance fitness provision within the Garnock Valley. The Walker Hall has developed into a fantastic local facility thanks to the continued support of our members and the commitment of our staff. However, the fabric and layout of the building now limit our ability to further develop, expand and create the first class fitness facility the area deserves.
We have been exploring several options for new facilities, and plans are progressing well. It is our aim to have these plans finalised, with work beginning within the next 6–9 months.
In the meantime, The Walker Hall will receive replacement equipment from the Portal while a longer term solution is developed. This will significantly enhance the quality and broaden the range of the current offering.
Important Dates
- Walker Hall will close from 26 July to 6 August, reopening on 7 August. This closure will allow time to remove existing equipment and install equipment transferred from the Portal.
- We will also be allocating equipment to the gym at Dalry Community Sport Hub (Primary School) which will reopen. Details and opening hours will follow shortly.
- West Kilbride Campus will also receive a selection of equipment from the Portal, the facility will close from 26 July to 6 August, reopening on 7 August.
