Work continues on progressing the replacement of the swimming pool roof which was blown off during Storm Eowyn. While a number of internal building areas have been restored to allow patrons to continue to take part in physical activities, the swimming pool area continues to remain closed until further notice. The post storm measures put into place by KA Leisure and North Ayrshire Council have allowed the 2025 World Wheelchair Curling Champions to proceed as planned. KA Leisure are also planning to undertake some temporary internal works to the pool area which will allow the adjacent fitness room to also be available for users.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this incident has caused to the many users of the swimming pool, please be assured that we are taking steps to resolve this as quickly as possible. Further communications will be issued once a programme of work has been confirmed.
