Full Time Duty Manager – 2 permanent posts

Job Ref: L1152
Rate of Pay: AP3 (£23,946.37-£26,238.69 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours average (involving day, evening and weekend)
Location: Portal and Townhouse, 66 High Street, Irvine, KA12 0AZ

Relief Sports Coach

Job Ref: L1149
Rate of Pay: £10.22 – £11.55 per hour
(KA Leisure provides workers with a minimum hourly rate of £9.50 per hour under the Living Wage initiative. Terms and conditions apply)
Hours: As and when required
Location: Throughout North Ayrshire

Job Purpose:

  • to pro-actively promote and deliver sports coaching programmes across North Ayrshire
  • preparation of Sports Session Plans
  • delivery of sports specific sports coaching sessions
  • maintenance of accurate reporting
  • ensure welfare of all participants

You must have:

  • A governing body qualification in any of the following sports: Gymnastics; Dance; Football; Badminton; Basketball; Pre-School Activities; Athletics; Netball Hockey; Aquatics; Rugby
  • Relevant coaching experience


Relief Swimming Instructor

Job Ref: L1106
Rate of Pay: £11.81 per hour – Level 1
                    £15.06 per hour – Level 2
Hours: As and when required
Location: Various locations throughout North Ayrshire

Job Purpose:

  • Promotion and delivery of swimming lessons to children and adults as part of the KA Leisure swimming programme
  • Prepare and deliver a variety of swimming lessons
  • Encourage and promote KA Leisure swimming lesson programme
  • Ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers

You Must Have:

  • Current teaching/coaching certificate as approved by the relevant Governing Body of Sport
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends


Relief Assistant Physical Activity Consultant – 4 posts

Job Ref: L1131
Rate of Pay: £9.90 per hour

Hours: As and when required
Location: Various locations throughout North Ayrshire
Role Summary:

Job Purpose:

  • To proactively promote and deliver within the Physical Activity Programme and all related projects delivered by the Active Lifestyles Team
  • Delivery of health checks and healthy lifestyle advice to clients and be able to identify where appropriate and refer to partner agencies
  • Maintain databases and records within the Physical Activity programme ensuring compliance with confidentiality and access

You Must Have:

  • Qualification in physical activity, health, wellbeing or fitness (minimum HNC or REPS Level2)
  • Excellent Communication skills and customer focus
  • Enthusiasm and desire to progress through a programme of Continued Professional Development

Role Profile

Relief Recreation Assistant II (fitness)

Job Ref: L1100
Rate of Pay: £9.90 per hour

Hours: As and when required
Location: Various locations throughout North Ayrshire

Job Purpose:

  • Provide fitness instruction, gym inductions and create customer programmes
  • Actively encourage potential subscribers to join and ensure the retention of existing subscribers
  • Set up equipment in accordance with facility bookings
  • Take responsibility for the general safety, preparation and cleaning of facilities whilst delivering excellent customer service

You must have:

  • Level 2 recognised gym qualification


Relief Aerobics/Aqua/Dance/Spin Instructor

Job Ref: L1098
Rate of Pay: £19.81 per hour
Hours: As and when required
Location: Various locations throughout North Ayrshire

Job Purpose:

  • To deliver fitness classes across KA Leisure and community facilities
  • To deliver fitness classes within the KA Studio Elevate Fitness club

You Must Have:

  • Hold a recognised fitness industry Level 2 qualification
  • Certificate of qualification in your chosen discipline
  • An outgoing personality, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • A professional approach when delivering classes

Where work is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and/or protected adults.  Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by KA Leisure.

Please note:  Successful candidates will meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 for scheme membership and £18 for scheme member update); this will be deducted from wages following commencement of employment with the Company
