Good Afternoon
Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through a very fluid and everchanging situation. As you will be aware these are unprecedented times and we appreciate that there is a lot of uncertainty and concern as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.
As the Easter weekend approaches we would like to remind all staff to continue to keep up to date with national advice and arrangements as below;
- The Scottish Government issues daily updates. Visit the Scottish Government website to keep-up-to-date with what’s happening in Scotland.
- Visit the NHS Ayrshire and Arran: NHSinform website for more information.
Staff Health and Wellbeing
The health and wellbeing of our staff remains a priority during this challenging time. Therefore it’s important that you remember to take time to look after yourself and others. Make sure that you try and maintain a regular routine, eat and drink healthily, take regular physical activity and get enough sleep.
If you’re working from home remember to:
- Plan your day
- Try and develop a regular routine
- Take regular breaks for some physical activity
- Prioritise your daily tasks
- Avoid repeated media checks
- Reach out to friends and colleagues
- Eat well and stay hydrated
Staff Spring Step Count Challenge
The Staff Spring Step Count Challenge is back! As it’s more important than ever for us all to stay active, why not sign up and register a team for that extra motivation and support! We had nine teams last year time from various KA facilities so let’s try and beat that!
The challenge is only 4 weeks and has been adapted to suit the current COVID-19 situation. If you would like to be part of a team or have a team interested in taking part email Louisa on lcarslaw@kaleisure.com or text Louisa on 0776 835 7196.

Staff Survey
We are aware, these are unprecedented times and we appreciate that there is a lot of uncertainty for our staff not least because our usual daily routines and regular interaction with colleagues has been completely changed.
During this time, we will be adapting our ways of working to ensure we support our staff and continue to bring an appropriate service to our customers. Thank you to those who have already completed the survey, we would appreciate if you could take the time to do so:

Making a Difference
Our online videos have been a huge hit with our customers who are missing attending their usual groups and classes. In the last two weeks our videos have engaged with over 3,000 customers and been viewed for over 52,000 minutes.
It’s great to try and bring back some normality to everyone’s weekly routine and even better when they share the fun with us! Pictured is baby Andrew & mum Jen who loved this week’s Nursery Rhyme Singalong.

#StayHomeStayActive
It is Easter so make the most of it! Create an Easter Egg Hunt in your house or garden, decorate some eggs, enjoy some time with your family and have some chocolate, but not too much! Although you can always work those extra calories off by trying some of the available on-line activities.
We have a programme of activities for families, adults and kids over the Easter weekend. Kicking off on Friday 10th April with Mark with a HIIT class and then with Nikki and Lilly leading a fun Superhero workout. Find it all here https://kaleisure.com/stayhomestayactive/
We extend our best wishes to you and your families at this time. #StayHomeStaySafe
