We are pleased to introduce Stuart Drummond, the next member of staff to answer some questions for their staff profile. Read on to learn more about Stuart.
What is your role within KA Leisure?
Stuart is a Team Leader for the Circuit and Greenwood locations. He has worked within KA leisure since 2019 when he first joined as a sports relief coach. Over the years he was able to progress into the role he has today. Some of his daily tasks include liaising with staff, handling emails and ensuring the smooth operation of the football pitches and venues.
What made you decide you would like a job within KA?
He has always had an interest in sports and completed an HND in Sports coaching. This is what drew him to apply to KA leisure for a position, the opportunity to use the skills and qualifications he has gained during his studies. He has always wanted to work in sport ever since he was young and worked hard to ensure he was able to.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The aspect of the role he particularly enjoys is working closely with all his colleagues and also meeting the wide variety of customers that comes to all the different venues. Every day is different and brings new tasks.
Can you describe a memorable experience from your time at work?
A memorable experience from his time at KA Leisure was when Stuart and a few of his colleagues went to the Isle of Arran for a day trip. While there they delivered a sports hall athletics event for primary school-aged kids. It was great to ensure these kids didn’t miss out on any activities just because they aren’t on the mainland. They were able to host a range of different athletics based activities.
Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
Outside of work he enjoys watching ‘any and all football’. Football is definitely a big interest for Stuart.
