This weekend, the 17th and 18th of September 2022, saw 3 Junior teams and the SNL team face off against teams from Belfast, Dundee and Solway.
It was an early morning rise for the North Ayrshire Wild u14s and u16s as they travel across the water to play the Belfast Junior Giants. The u14s took to the ice first and were dominant from the first puck drop and came away with an impressive 8 – 4 victory! This was then followed by the u16s who were equally as strong and came out on top with a 5 – 3 win.
That same evening saw a short-benched North Ayrshire Wild SNL team face off against annon form Dundee Tigers team at Auchenharvie Ice Rink and although the result did not go in their favour there were positive aspects to take from the game.
Onto the Sunday and it was back to the u14s and North Ayrshire Wild u19s to make the journey to Dumfries where they both faced Solway Sharks Junior teams. Last season’s League Winning u14s were again relentless against their opposition and romped to a 12 – 0 win. Wild u19s completed the weekend where they came out on top with a 6 – 3 win. All in all a very good weekend for North Ayrshire Ice Hockey Club.
