We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon and we are working hard behind the scenes to revise how we operate our venues as the safety, health and wellbeing of both our staff and customers remains our highest priority.

We will need to do things differently and this will include the introduction of; amended opening hours, physical distancing measures, one-way systems, screens at reception, a reduction in capacity for some activities, and, the need to book in advance for all activities, as well as the installation of hand sanitising stations.

Although we are unable to confirm dates of re-starting the rest of our activities, we are expecting the release of information from the Scottish Government in the next week that will hopefully provide some clarity regarding timescales, though we anticipate only being able to open on a phased basis towards the end of July.

We’ve created a video which will provide a bit more information on what you can expect when you return to our venues.

In the forthcoming weeks, this will be followed up with regular updates, surveys and more videos.  Please register at www.kaleisure.com/update to receive our newsletter to keep you up to date.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding. We are working hard to navigate through a very fluid and everchanging situation. As you will be aware these are unprecedented times and we appreciate that there is a lot of uncertainty and concern as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.

Although many of our KA Leisure Team are unable to carry out their usual duties at their normal place of work, we would like to thank the many staff who are fulfilling vital support roles within our sites or by working from home. Currently there is a team of business-critical staff working diligently to ensure our corporate functions are maintained and our facilities are safeguarded.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all customers that Direct Debit payments will automatically be frozen. You do not need to contact us or take any action.

Despite our venues and normal programmes not able to operate, we are still doing our upmost to ensure that we meet our ambition of North Ayrshire More Active More Often.

We will continue to bring you a variety of tips, ideas and advice on how to keep active or get active in and around your home.  These are all available on our new web section at https://kaleisure.com/exercise-at-home/ .

We’d like to say a big thank you to our loyal customers. We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support on social media with so many of you really valuing the important services that KA Leisure delivers – we value your support too and together we will get through this.

Many of you may not be aware that KA Leisure is a Scottish charity and every penny we receive from memberships, coaching, lets, events and funding is reinvested back into our venues and programmes. Without your support over the last 20 years we wouldn’t have been able to keep North Ayrshire More Active More Often.

To help us ensure we are doing the best we can for you just now, and to help us plan for the future we would appreciate if customers could complete the short survey on the link below:

KA Leisure Venues to Close

Following the most recent public health advice from the Scottish and UK governments regarding the spread of the Coronavirus, it is with regret that we have to announce that as of 10pm on Wednesday 18th March, all KA Leisure venues are closed and all activities and events will be cancelled until further notice.

We appreciate the disappointment and disruption this will cause to all our customers and ask for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

All membership fees and class subscriptions will be frozen automatically throughout the closure, so customers do not need to take any action.

During this time we anticipate a high volume of enquiries and it may take a few days for us to respond.  We will keep you updated through our channels as we receive further information.

These are unprecedented times for us all and we appreciate our customers patience during this time.

Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of customers and employees remains our priority.

18/03/2020 12:00

As the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) develops, our priority is to keep our customers and employees informed and protected.

As of today Wednesday 18th March, we can confirm that the KA Leisure Learn to Swim Programme across all facilities has been suspended following a decision by Scottish Swimming. Please note Direct Debits in relation to swimming lessons will be frozen during this time. Please be assured that any refunds due will be actioned.  Therefore, customers will not need to take any action, we will do this on your behalf.

With regards to all other KA Leisure activities this is an ever-changing situation and we will of course keep customers up to date as it progresses. If, however there is further significant disruption across our facilities customers can be assured that if they have a membership with KA Leisure it would be our intention to freeze payments. Therefore, customers would not need to take any action, and we would do this on your behalf if circumstances change.

These are unprecedented times for us all and we appreciate our customers patience during this time.

Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of customers and employees remains our priority.

17/03/2020 16:00

As the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) develops, our priority is to keep our customers and employees informed and protected.

These are unprecedented and challenging times for everyone.  The latest update from the Government is ‘to avoid pubs, clubs and other social venues’. And although leisure centres could be classed as ‘social venues’, the Government has not provided instruction to close leisure centres, therefore at this point KA Leisure venues will continue to operate with slight adjustments to programmes in order to protect our more vulnerable participants.

Therefore, all classes and activities within the Active North Ayrshire exercise referral programme will stop operating from Wednesday 18th March 2020.  This includes all classes within our HARP programme, Mind and Be Active Programme, Move More North Ayrshire programme and Weigh to Go weight management programme.

We appreciate there is a huge amount of uncertainty surrounding coronavirus; we are all dealing with a continually changing situation and going forward decisions will continue to be made based on the advice and instruction received from the Government and Public Health Scotland.

Venues remain open for business and our staff teams continue to expand our daily practices to maintain a clean and safe environment across our venues.

Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of customers and employees remains the priority.
