To celebrate the recent refurbishment at the Vikingar visitor attraction come along to the relaunch/open day on Saturday 6th April 10am – 4pm!

We are honoured to have The Glasgow Vikings and Amber Othala host this for us, and The Society of John DeGraeme, Hunter Clan and Largs Viking festival as special guests.

Entry is free into the main building, and there will be a mini Viking Village in the theatre with living history and demonstrations all day and performances at 12pm & 3pm by The Glasgow Vikings.

Traders will be in the winter garden, along with workshops, crafts, activities, demonstrations, storytelling and a Viking Gym challenge.

The main attraction is the Viking experience tours 10am – 3.30pm, every half hour with torus lasting approx 1 hour, with a Viking tour guide, who will whisk you back 1000 years to Norway, into their longhouse. Experience what it would have been like to live a day in the life of a Viking, what they ate, what they drank, where they slept. You will be given the opportunity to try on replica helmets and under supervision, hold swords and axes.
