Physical Activity Consultant

Rate of Pay: AP1 – (£25,743.12 – £27,089.92)

Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week (1 permanent post). Flexible relief contracts are also available.

Location: Based at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre, Saltcoats Road, Stevenston, KA20 3JR, and covering various locations across North Ayrshire         
 
Role Summary:   

  • To proactively promote and deliver within the Health & Wellbeing Service and all related projects delivered by the Active Lifestyles Team
  • Delivery of health checks and healthy lifestyle advice within local communities, referring to partner agencies where appropriate
  • Delivery of consultations and safe and effective exercise prescription for participants referred into the Active North Ayrshire Physical Activity on Referral Programme
  • Maintain databases and records within the Physical Activity programme ensuring compliance with confidentiality and access

You Must Have:

  • Qualification in physical activity, health, wellbeing or fitness (HND / CIMSPA Level2)
  • REPS Level 3 Qualification in Physical Activity on Referral or be working towards this. (Assistance may be given in gaining this qualification to the right candidate – the training salary is the Living Wage rate of £12.60 per hour)
  • Full Drivers Licence is desirable.
